Tooth Stripping or ShavingSometimes teeth are so close together or can overlap in a way that makes flossing hard.

Floss cannot be inserted between teeth and/or wrapped around and moved up and down the length, to break up the dental plaques that gather between teeth ( particularly at the gum line ).

Teeth can be ‘sanded’ back (stripping) using an abrasive disc or polishing strip in these places ( Interproximal Reduction ) – this minimal smoothing makes flossing possible and easier.
