A bridge is a way of filling in a gap from a missing tooth or two.
It usually involves a crown with a “false” tooth attached to it. The false tooth fills in the gap and looks like a normal tooth would.
If a crown is not needed on the tooth next to a gap the bridge can be made with “little wings” that glue on the back of the teeth each side, the false tooth is in the middle and fills in the gap.
This bridge is known as a ‘Maryland Bridge’ (after the University of Maryland who developed the technique )
