We suggest patients have an annual examination.

Research shows that dental disease – tooth decay and gum disease is largely preventable.

An examination should be a comprehensive check of your face, neck, lips and tongue for abnormalities. A check of overall health and oral hygiene, an occlusion (bite) and TMJ (jaw joints) as well as a check for tooth decay/fractures and most importantly a check of your periodontal (gum) health.

X-rays will be taken only when necessary.

Prevention of / or finding problems when they are small and manageable is not only good for your oral health but is also much less costly.

An effective brushing and flossing technique will save you teeth, time and money.

It may be suggested after your examination that you have several coaching sessions on your home care skills. These are one on one affordable sessions to make sure you are doing all the right things at home.

Due to the nature of plaque your technique at removing it is more important than how often you do it.

Science has shown that brushing and flossing 3 times a week with a good technique is enough to keep you healthy.
